Kolkata WordPress Meetup July 2025 Recap: When Content Meets Marketing

Hey everyone! 👋

On July 5th, I had the pleasure of attending something a bit outside my usual routine—and honestly, it was a breath of fresh air: the Kolkata WordPress Meetup July 2025: When Content Meets Marketing.

If you’re anything like me—usually buried in code, plugins, and custom post types—this session was a powerful reminder that content isn’t just king… it’s the entire kingdom.

🎯 What This Meetup Was All About

The core idea was refreshingly straightforward: how content and marketing are deeply intertwined, especially within the WordPress space. Whether it’s creating, promoting, or even monetizing content, the event explored how these pieces work together—and why they matter.

And let me tell you, the speaker lineup totally delivered.

🎤 The Speakers & Key Highlights

🔹 Subhasis Chatterjee
Subhasis Sir opened with a deep dive into why content is the true powerhouse of digital communication. As a seasoned journalist, his insights on strategy, personal branding, and storytelling had us all either jotting down notes or hammering away on keyboards (yep, guilty 😅).

🔹 Piyasa Biswas
With a literature background and over five years in academic content, Piyasa brought a sharp, structured perspective to writing. She highlighted how research and organization shape content that actually connects. As someone from a more tech-heavy background, this really struck a chord with me.

🔹 Kausal Sikaria
Kausal came in with the marketing energy. From funnels and conversions to monetization tips, he packed his session with actionable takeaways. What I appreciated most? His advice wasn’t just for marketers—it was super relevant for developers and product folks too. No fluff, just solid strategy.

🙌 My Personal Take

What stood out most was how collaborative and down-to-earth the entire event felt. Whether you’re a dev, a marketer, or a writer, the message was clear: we need to break out of our silos and work together.

It even got me thinking differently about how I approach content—both in blog posts (like this one 😉).

And of course, the networking was top-notch. Great people, meaningful conversations, and an atmosphere that genuinely inspired.

Huge thanks to the organizers and volunteers who made the event such a smooth and engaging experience. It’s always uplifting to be part of a community that’s not just growing—but also evolving in how we share knowledge.

📬 Final Thoughts

If you’ve never been to a WordPress Meetup—go for it. No matter your role—dev, designer, content creator, strategist—there’s always something valuable to learn and someone awesome to meet.

Were you at the event? Thinking of attending the next one? Drop a comment—I’d love to hear from you.
